description Tensegrity is a structural relationship principle based on the balance of opposing forces. This balance is achieved by the adequate spatial configuration of elements dedicated to the transmission of said efforts, generating self-stable, lightweight, flexible and adaptive systems. Its correspondence with natural systems has been little explored, maintaining its abstract logic, relegating its research to some hard sciences (mathematics and physics) and its application to some techno-scientific disciplines such as civil, mechanical, robotics and aerospace engineering. The main objective of this thesis was to establish biologically informed design strategies that allow the systematic generation of multiscale tensegrities with projectual potential. This approach led to the analysis of tensegrity from its correspondence with natural systems, emphasizing the relationship between its morphology and its intrinsically dynamic behavior, inducing the study of tensegrity at three levels: minimal systems (cells), clusters (tissues) and specific systems of organic tensegrities (biotensegrities). This research included both the development of algorithms and computational models to analyze and simulate the behavior of tensegrities, as well as the manufacture of models in different materials. The purpose of this research is to provide elementary tools that stimulate the application, teaching and research of tensegrity in projectual disciplines, with a morphological, dynamic and multiscale approach, based on the bio informed strategies presented in this document.
